Hey, been a long time... update - i'm finally shooting at night again :) the water polo shooting has moved to international competition :D i am currently making a living shooting little league baseball :(

I am noticing more and more that people are saying "the only thing I did in photoshop was…".  So f-ing what! If you were working in a darkroom would you even think of making a print with no dodging or burning? What's the difference! Photoshoping an image does not mean you have to move even a single pixel, or even do anything you can't do in the darkroom. Your digital camera has a lot bigger dynamic range than you can see, and as for black and white film, 6 stops, that's 4 more than any monitor can see. Living in a digital world does not mean we have to give up the zone system. Think masks, think curves, bring out the highlight detail, b

just got home from wondering the Mojave. shot @ Trona Pinnacles, and Death Valley, then sunday morning the thought hit me... 'hummm, breakfast in vegas...' well, after eating, i did a bit of gambeling, ended up winning $200 in a quarter slot :boogie: so i got a room, a shower (after wandering the desert for 3 days and nights, i was kinda ripe) and some sleep... then went shooting on the strip. :D i'll be posting the new stuff over the next week or so, first the digital, then the film.
